Two Wildfires and Wild Winds Pose Problems For Fire Crews

(Otero, Co) -- High winds are making fighting two fires in Southeast Colorado difficult Tuesday afternoon. The first fire began this morning east of Bent's Fort Historic Site. Firefighters were able to get it under control but by mid afternoon high winds took over and re-ignited that fire.

Another fire was reported near the Bent County Jail, and golf course in Las Animas shortly after. It grew and was moving east very quickly.

We are not able to talk to officials fighting it yet as multiple agencies are there and it's everyone out there doing something.

Here are photos of both fires.
