Photo Caption: Some of the pencil and graphic drawings from the 2021 Fine Arts League Early Settlers Day Art Show held at the Koshare Museum. Entries for the 2022 art show are being accepted on Thursday, September 8 from 12noon to 6pm.
(La Junta, CO) -- The Fine Arts League of La Junta will be accepting entries for the Early Settlers Day Art Show at the Koshare Museum on Thursday, September 8, 2022, between 12noon and 6:00pm.
Art Categories for this year’s show include: Oils, Acrylics, Watercolors, Pastels, Graphics, Photography (color and B&W), Altered Photography, Mixed Media, and 3-D Arts. 3-D arts will include jewelry, fiber arts, potters, sculpture and miscellaneous media. Any category with fewer than six entries may be judged as entered or combined with another category at the judge’s discretion.
All entries must be original artwork completed within the last three years. All paintings must be framed or on gallery wrapped canvas and ready to hang with wire. Size limitation for the wall is 48” X 48” including frame. Artists must be 18 years of age.
All entries must be brought to The Koshare Museum, 115 W. 18th St. in La Junta on Thursday, September 8 between 12 noon and 6:00 pm. No mailed artwork or slides will be accepted. Arrangements may be made with other artists to deliver artwork, if the artwork is accompanied by a completed entry form and proper payment of fees. The cost is $10.00 per entry, non-refundable. A maximum of five entries per artist.

All artwork must be for sale with a minimum price of $50.00 per piece. Please do not enter pieces you are not willing to sell. There will be a 20% commission on all sales for non-members and a 10% commission on all sales for Fine Arts League members. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any damage or theft of artwork during the show. Artists with concerns are encouraged to purchase insurance for their work.
