(La Junta, CO) -- Entrepreneur and Iowa native Deb Brown traveled Southwest to SE Colorado to speak to a group of rural businesses who wanted to learn more about how to prosper.
She says there are so many things a community can do to make it a great place to live. And Brown says more people in their 30s and 40s are moving back to their small home towns to raise their children in a quiet and healthy environment.
Brown's chat with business owners included some mad brainstorming about how to bring people to rural areas with agritourism. The ideas were everything from a mushroom farm, to meat processing, a horse hotel and pumpkin patch with corn maze, which is already operating.
