A bill in the Colorado House that removes gendered language from the section of Colorado law having to do with agriculture passed and now moves to the Senate.

The bi-partisan bill is sponsored by Democrat Representative Karen McCormick, Democrat Senator Janice Marchman and Republican Senator Cleave Simpson.

The bill's text describes the legislation as replacing the word "man" with "humans."

The wording that once read "Agriculture" means the science and art of production of plants and animals useful to man, would now read "Agriculture" means the science and art of production of plants and animals useful to humans.

The bill would affect the Colorado Revised Statues (state law) having to do with Agriculture.

House Bill 25-1084 now moves to the Senate.
