Otero College Holds Law Academy Graduation

(La Junta, CO) -- Twenty recruits officially graduated from the Otero Law Enforcement Academy on Thursday. Director Vince Fraker says it was the biggest academy he's had so far. La Junta Police Chief Todd Quick spoke to the group telling them to make sure to take time off, go fishing and just spend time with friends and family. He also encouraged them to stay active in their community. Recruits graduating from the academy already have jobs lined up and will go to work right away. Fraker says they're filling up the Spring academy right now and in the future are working toward holding a part time academy. This would be held evenings and weekends to accommodate working students. More information on the academy can be found at https://www.otero.edu/academics/academicprograms/lawacademy.aspx
