The following is a news release from the Colorado State Patrol
(Huerfano County, COLO) Colorado State Patrol Troopers were dispatched to the area of Interstate 25 northbound near milepost 57 at 4:53 a.m. for a crash involving a semi and a Colorado Department of Transportation snow plow. The driver of the semi was pronounced dead on scene, and the snow plow driver was transported to an area hospital.
Initial investigations show the semi struck the plow from the rear. The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit will be conducting the investigation.
