Colorado is sixth in Robbery Rates, According to Study

A new study has revealed that the state of Colorado is the sixth state for Robbery Rates in the U.S.


This study by Simmrinlawgroup.com analyzed crime data from the FBI and NIBRS across 50 states, focusing on Robbery Rates. Crime rates were normalized per 100,000 people, weighted based on importance. States were ranked based on these scores to assess safety.



Key Findings

- Colorado ranks 6th with a rate of 74.7 per 100,000, making it one of the more dangerous states in terms of robbery.


- Pennsylvania has the highest robbery rate at a staggering 178.8 per 100,000, making it the most dangerous state for robbery crimes.


- New Mexico ranks 2nd worst with a robbery rate of 157.8 per 100,000, significantly higher than most other states.


- Idaho has the lowest robbery rate at just 8.3 per 100,000, making it the safest state for robbery offenses.

Colorado has a rate of 74.7, making it one of the more dangerous states in terms of robbery.

Nevada ranks 44th with a rate of 73.9, indicating a concerning number of robberies.


8. Washington

Washington follows closely with a robbery rate of 73.8, contributing to its position in the bottom states.


9. Tennessee

Tennessee has a rate of 70.7, further emphasizing the higher robbery offenses in the state.


10. Minnesota

Minnesota rounds out the bottom 10 with a rate of 70.1, which is still much higher than the top-ranking states.
